The flu is off to an early start in Ohio this year with hospitalizations spiking. Central Ohio doctors and experts say the best defense against the virus is still getting a flu shot. There were 404 flu hospitalizations across the state as of Dec. 14, compared to 264 in the same time period last year, according to the Ohio Department of Health.
