This past week, four people who recently arrived demonstrated signs and symptoms of measles, and were confirmed to have the virus and were placed under quarantine. Since then, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has recommended that flights from Afghanistan to the U.S. be temporarily paused.
