New Delhi: Most patients suffering from the Omicron variant, which is behind the the sudden surge in cases in Delhi, tend to recover within a week. This has been shown in an analysis of the case history of 105 patients, including seven children, who were treated at Lok Nayak Hospital.

Dr Suresh Kumar, medical director of Lok Nayak Hospital, told TOI that nearly of Omicron patients recovered within a week. “This variant spreads fast, but it also gets cleared fast from the body compared with the Delta variant,”
